Terms of service

These terms apply to this website, the member area and the booking of training sessions run by Malta International Table Tennis Club ("MITTC", "we", "us"). By using the website or the member area you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

1. Joining the club

• Sending a join request does not make you a member. The club reviews every request and may accept or decline it.
• When we approve you, we send you a one-time link to choose your password. Keep your password private; you are responsible for anything done with your account.
• Players under 16 need a parent or guardian to make or agree to the join request. Parents and guardians are responsible for their child's use of the member area.
• Please keep your details up to date, especially your phone number and emergency contact.

2. Booking training sessions

• Sessions have limited places. When a session is full you may be placed on a waiting list, and you will get a place only if one becomes free.
• If you cannot come, cancel your booking as early as you can so someone else can have the place.
• The club may change the time, place or coach of a session, or cancel it, for example because of venue availability, competitions or illness. We will let you know through the member area or by WhatsApp where we can.
• Membership fees and any session fees are set by the club and communicated to you separately.

3. Taking part safely

• Table tennis is a physical sport. Take part only if you are fit to do so, and tell your coach about any injury or health condition that may affect you.
• Follow the coaches' instructions and the rules of each venue, and treat other players, coaches, officials and the equipment with respect.
• The club may suspend or end the membership of anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk or breaks these terms, the rules of the venue, or the integrity rules of Maltese sport.

4. Using the website

• Do not try to access accounts or parts of the website that are not yours, interfere with how it works, or use it to send spam or harmful content.
• We try to keep information such as session times, results and live streams accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee the website will always be error-free or online.
• Links to other websites (for example social media, ETTU or Google Maps) are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.

5. Content and logos

The MITTC name, crest, photos and text on this website belong to the club, unless stated otherwise. The logos of our sponsors and partners belong to their owners and are shown to recognise their support. You may share links to our pages, but please ask us before reusing our photos or crest.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the club is not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the website, or for sessions that are changed or cancelled. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited under Maltese law.

7. Your personal data

How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy policy.

8. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the courts of Malta have jurisdiction over any dispute.
